last monday is my diploma convocation, and it turned out to be so much fun.

met with my graduating friends who didn't continue for their degree for various reasons.

i was nervous and sweating while waiting to get called. basically my heart was racing for 3 hours straight. u tell me about it, being marked by 7 people, and 5 of them are non-asians with some Germanss... (ok.. stereotype much?). its nerve breaking.

anw, turned out, this week is actually not so bad at all.

and you know what, this motivation booster thing is pretty effective if i must say.

i finally came back to Singapore last Sunday! And i miss home already....

since i got back, I've been riding bus a lot. 12, 56, 966, 48, 196 etc etc etc

riding a bus is nice.

observing different people. listening to the secondary students chit chatting over their bad grades and how physics sucks.

I forget how nice it is to just sit in the bus, enjoy the view from the windows and wait long enough till I get to my destination.

Jadi, kmrn akhirnya saya berhasil mengajak (baca: menjebak) beberapa teman untuk nonton film yang gw yakini akan sangat "captivating" ini.

Saat memasuki studio 3 blitz megaplex, yang pintu studionya pun sudah diabaikan oleh penjaganya (mungkin krn petugasnya pun TAU betapa minornya minat masyarakat terhadap film ini). Gw dan beberapa teman gw melihat hanya 5 orang yg duduk di dalam studio tersebut.... ya betul, 5 orang....

i'm fully aware that the main soundtrack of this movie is indeed about moving a MOUNTain, climbing it, destroying it, random horses marched from nowhere, weird screaming/dancing in the rain *vomit*, or whatever, and stuff... but... that's just funny....

so i sat, and watched the movie. and prepared for the worst.

And to be honest, the film was surprisingly fine. its like one of those movies that left you with a cliche pleasant feeling after you watch it. well for this case, its just rather shocking.

The conclusion is, the film was OK. It wasnt as suck as i thought it will. the end part was actually kinda good.

PHEW. i did it, thats it! finally i can move on with my life! HAH!

yay, i did it, i post something.

its supposed to be an old fanart of an online game called Ragnarok Online, as you might guess, she was one of my characters on that game. She is a Gypsy, a class that categorized as a supporting offensive type.

to be honest, i showed the old one once to a friend, and he criticized the figure for being too slanted and not proportionate. i actually refused to believe him that time haha. but now, i can clearly SEE that....

its done, back then, around 2/3 years ago. I did firmly believe, at that time, that the drawing was JUST fine until i saw this drawing again a couple months ago, i was like, shocked.
Suddenly the urge of re-touching the piece came..., and it turned out quite interesting.

to those who keep saying they cant draw, or complaining for not having the talent, i dun think thats the real main case here.
i am too still very far from being a great drawer/painter/artist.
but now i truly believe that people can grow just by keep practicing, you wont realize it by the time when you can see your own past flaws. so i hope to be better.

and i'd like to conclude it as a very non-productive, unfruitful, dry.., depleted..., and quite wasted holiday.....

Although i DID some activities during this holiday such as :

• watching dvds from dusk till dawn,
  
• playing game till i finish it,
  
• re-played the very same game just to get the best ending,
  
• got more than 50 times game over for playing a freaking hard strategy rpg,
  
• or watching sinetrons,
  
• or keeping up with the newest hottest freshest gossips through many mediums of infotainment,
  
• fattening my self by eating chips while reading manga/anime in my laptop,
• and also being kepo for hours on facebook and trying to beat the high scores on Typing Maniacs!

see...? it is NOT that bad, i KNOW........

but still.

Maka dr itu, gw telah memutus kan untuklebih produktif 1 minggu terakhir ini.

Misinya adalah, i'll try to post SOMETHING at least once a week on this blog. HAH!

p.s. This morning when i did the gallery sitting for my diploma show, my friend JJ came and told me that someone wanted to buy my character's maquette.

I was shocked.

And that enthusiastic aunty approached me and asked what am i gonna do with the maquette after the show is over. im confused as me myself also didnt know what im gonna do with it. She said she really wanted to buy it. Wow, i mean, Im so humbled that there's actually someone who wants to put a price on my work. Even if it just for 1 or 2 bucks. lol.

What a feeling. haha. In the end, i decided not to sell it, as it was my very first maquette. it was priceless for me. But im so happy that other people actually like and appreciate it. Never thought that there'll be someone who wants to buy it.

5 hours left. Jakarta here i come.
